Dr. Shatha Omar is a psychiatrist who works with children, adolescents, and adults, with a particular focus on helping children and their families navigate developmental, emotional, and behavioral challenges. She earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Jordan in 2016, and went on to receive the Jordanian Board certification in psychiatry.
In 2017, she served as a research fellow at LA BioMed, which strengthened her expertise in evidence-based psychiatric care. She also trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) at the Beck Institute for Cognitive Behavior Therapy, and continues to draw on this approach in her work with individuals today.
She conducts comprehensive psychiatric evaluations covering a wide range of conditions, including neurodevelopmental disorders (such as ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorder), mood disorders (such as Depression and Bipolar Disorder), anxiety disorders, personality disorders, and psychosis, with a particular focus on neurodevelopmental, mood, and anxiety disorders. Through these evaluations, she reaches precise diagnoses and develops treatment plans tailored to each person’s needs, drawing on medical management, counseling, and psychoeducation to support the individual and, where relevant, their family, equipping caregivers with the tools to support their children effectively and build a healthier, more understanding home environment.
