Dr. Mohammad Zahran is a Jordanian Board-certified psychiatrist, Lead Psychiatrist, and Medical Director at Mind Clinic. He earned his medical degree from Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST) in 2014 and completed the Higher Specialty Program in Psychiatry at JUST in 2020. He obtained the Jordanian Board in Psychiatry in 2021 and was awarded the Fellowship of the European Board of Psychiatry (FEBP) in 2025. He is a member of both the Jordanian Psychiatric Association and the European Psychiatric Association.
Dr. Zahran has extensive experience in adult psychiatry and provides comprehensive psychiatric assessments and individualized treatment plans. His clinical approach considers both psychiatric and medical factors, including medical, neurological, substance-related, and neurocognitive conditions that may contribute to changes in mood, cognition, perception, or behaviour.
His areas of clinical practice include depression, anxiety disorders, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), mood disorders, psychotic disorders, substance use disorders, and neurocognitive disorders.
Dr. Zahran also has a particular interest in addiction psychiatry. He evaluates Service Recipient experiencing substance-related difficulties, assesses the need for medically supervised withdrawal or a higher level of care, and develops individualized treatment and rehabilitation plans. When appropriate, he coordinates care with specialized addiction services and rehabilitation programs to support medical treatment, psychotherapy, relapse prevention, and long-term recovery.
He works closely with Service Recipient, families, and caregivers to establish safe and supportive care plans, particularly when patients are vulnerable or require urgent psychiatric intervention. He also contributes to decisions regarding crisis management, hospital referral, and admission when clinically indicated.
As Medical Director, Dr. Zahran oversees the quality and safety of psychiatric services at Mind Clinic. He supervises and mentors’ junior doctors and other healthcare professionals through clinical supervision, seminars, case discussions, and quality-improvement
activities.
