Dr. Shatha Omar is a board-certified psychiatrist with a passion for providing comprehensive mental health care across different age groups. She earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Jordan in 2016 and later became board-certified in psychiatry in Jordan. In 2017, she pursued advanced research as a research fellow at LA Biomed, expanding her expertise in evidence-based psychiatric care. Additionally, she trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) at Beck’s Institute, equipping her with specialized skills in psychotherapy.
Dr. Shatha has a strong focus on diagnosing and treating children, adolescents, and their parents, helping families navigate the challenges associated with developmental, emotional, and behavioral disorders. She provides thorough evaluations to ensure precise diagnoses and tailors treatment plans that address both the child’s needs and the family dynamic. Through therapy, counseling, and psychoeducation, she empowers parents with the tools to support their children effectively, fostering a healthier and more understanding home environment.
She also works with adults, ensuring accurate diagnoses and developing personalized treatment plans that align with each patient’s unique needs and preferences. She emphasizes creating a supportive and accepting environment both within and beyond the clinic, engaging families in counseling, therapy, and other therapeutic techniques to foster a healthier home dynamic.
Beyond clinical work, Dr. Shatha is an integral part of Mind Clinic’s scientific team, mentoring junior members of the team, including doctors and psychologists in training. Through lectures and hands-on guidance, she helps shape the next generation of mental health professionals.
Dr. Shatha Omar’s roles at Mind Clinic:
• Diagnose and treat a wide range of psychiatric conditions, including depression, anxiety, ADHD, mood disorders, and Neurocognitive disorders.
